Sea Fish & Chips Restaurant Review

Fish & Chips

When you feel like good ol' fish & chips, this hidden gem in McKenzie Towne won't let you down. This is pretty much the only place I will eat battered seafood and fries. We've been going here since they first opened and they are still putting out a fantastic meal to satisfy our cravings.

It's a quaint little restaurant with less than 20 seating but it is busy during peak times. Their seafood is sourced from sustainable sources which is a plus, but the best thing about Sea is the consistency.

I was really hungry that day and we also had my cousin with us so I decided to order popcorn shrimp to share. Both Jess & my cousin started with a bowl of seafood chowder.

The popcorn shrimp came with sweet chilli sauce for dipping and was crisp, fresh, & tasty. I had a bite of Jess' chowder which was creamy and full of various seafood.

My favourite is their Oyster Dinner which is what I always get. Although I've noticed that the oysters have gotten smaller since they first opened, it's always crisp, fresh, & juicy, served with their house tartar sauce and coleslaw. I usually get their sweet potato fries with the aioli dip as my side.

If you're feeling like British style seafood, Sea is definitely the place to go. You can always count on their freshness and consistency.
